MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION 

Whether you are a major gifts or planned giving professional, an attorney, CPA or Wealth Advisor, the Saint Louis Planned Giving Council welcomes your participation and invites you to submit a membership application. Please note that the Saint Louis Planned Giving Council is an affiliate of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning. We encourage all members of the SLPGC to be a member of PPP. Therefore, SLPGC has made it extremely easy and efficient to join both at the same time by joining online.

Joining Online

It's simple to join the SLPGC online:

  • Visit the following link: http://www.pppnet.org/
  • Go to the memberships link, then select join/renew
  • Type in Saint Louis Planned Giving Council
  • Complete the information requested

Your online application and dues will be forwarded to our local council and you will begin receiving emails and mailings from us! If you would prefer to mail or fax your application and payment, please download and complete the Membership Application under Membership.

So who is a SLPGC Member?

Members include experienced planned giving professionals, those new to the field, directors of development, major gifts officers, wealth management advisors from the private sector, attorneys, tax advisors, etc.

SLPGC Membership Benefits include:

  • A network of helpful colleagues and contacts for exchanging ideas, services, and friendly professional support.
  • Diverse programs with nationally recognized speakers providing frequent, economical opportunities for professional education and personal development for members, ranging from beginners to persons with many years of experience:
    • Monthly educational luncheon programs (September through May) at Ces & Judy's Catering in Le Chateau, 10405 Clayton Road 63124. Pre-luncheon seminars offering topics in-depth with the luncheon speaker or experienced professionals in St. Louis
  • Reduced rates for monthly luncheon programs
  • Up-to-date council news and recent developments in planned giving as well as early notice about events through the SLPGC website and e-mails
  • Service to the community through the Council's Leave A Legacy® initiative, a public awareness campaign to encourage bequests and planned gifts to charities
  • SLPGC members are also members of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning and receive benefits and services such as:
    • PPP national annual conference attracting more than 1,500 gift planners and the world's foremost speakers on planned giving issues
    • The regular Gift Planning Update from PPP and special e-mail bulletins with legal and legislative developments
    • Subscription to The Journal of Gift Planning, the field's premier publication
    • GIFT-PL, a listserv linking gift planning professionals throughout the continent
    • PALS, a national web-based job placement service
    • Discounts on research publications and other PPP services
    • Opportunities for Webinars, on-line educational seminars from your office
    • A listing in the PPP National on-line membership directory  
  • SLPGC and PPP provide an organized voice for raising consciousness about planned giving among nonprofit professionals, donors, professional advisors, and legislative bodies
  • This professional association presents a forum for encouraging ethical gift planning through education and adherence to The Model Standards of Practice for Charitable Gift Planners.

Membership Fees

  • Joint membership in SLPGC and PPP is $220.
  • Membership in the SLPGC is contingent upon membership in the PPP. Membership is available to individuals only and is not transferable. Membership is effective for one year from the date dues are received.

Membership Levels

A Full Member of SLPGC is an individual who has paid for membership in the St. Louis Planned Giving Council. The reduced luncheon/program fees for Members applies to Full Members of SLPGC only.

An Affiliate Member is an individual who is (i) a member of a Leave A Legacy program that is sponsored by SLPGC, (ii) a visiting member of either PPP or another PPP-affiliated Council, or (iii) a retired planned giving professional who is a past member of the SLPGC. A luncheon/program fees for Affiliate Members applies to individuals in one of these categories.

Making Changes to your Membership Listing

Membership in the St. Louis Planned Giving Council belongs to the individual member, and not the institution that employs them. When you have a change to your membership listing, please contact the SLPGC by emailing SLPGC@qabs.com or by fax: 314-845-1891.

All changes will be forwarded by the SLPGC to PPP.
